Questions

How do I print a test page?
Choose a sheet above, pick Letter or A4, then click Print test page and print at 100% (Actual size). You can also download the PDF and print it from any viewer. To print one from your computer instead, see the how-to guides.
Should I use Letter or A4 paper?
Use the size of the paper loaded in your printer. Letter (8.5 × 11 in) is the standard in the US and Canada; A4 (210 × 297 mm) is used almost everywhere else. A mismatch can make the page shrink or clip. A4 vs Letter explained.
Why are colors missing from my print?
A missing color usually points to an empty cartridge or a blocked nozzle. Print the CMYK test page or run a nozzle check, then follow the missing color fix.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Print test page opens a print-ready page in your browser and works without an account. Downloading the PDF is optional, and handy on phones and tablets.
How much ink does a test page use?
Each sheet shows an ink-use estimate calculated from the area it covers. Nozzle checks and the alignment sheet use very little; the photo and color sheets use more. These numbers are estimates, not measurements.
Is the test page free?
Yes. Every sheet and tool is free, with no sign-up. If ads are ever added they will never sit above the print button and never print.

About printer test pages

A printer test page is a sheet you print on purpose to learn something about the printer: are all colors there, are the lines straight, does the page come out at the right size. The sheets here are real vector PDFs, and each one has a QR code in the footer that opens a page explaining what your result means.

Which test page should I print?

How to print one without any of this

Most systems have a built-in test page. On a PC it is in the printer’s properties; on a Mac it is in the printer menu; many printers also print one from their own panel. Our guides cover Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad, Android and Chromebook. The built-in page only proves that the printer and driver talk to each other. It will not tell you much about print quality, which is why the sheets above exist.

After you print

Compare your sheet with the good and bad examples, or scan the QR code to open the result reader. If something is wrong, pick the symptom and follow the ordered fixes. Stop after two head cleanings: repeated cleaning wastes ink and rarely helps a worn part.
